Wallace Arthur Nielson, 81, passed away Friday, Oct 6, 2000, at the Log an Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Logan, Utah. He was born Jan 19 , 1919, in Paul, Idaho, the son of Peter Nielson Jr. and Laura Betts. H e married Gloye Peart on Aug 25, 1941, in the logan Utah Temple. He serve d his country during World War II. He worked as an airplane mechanic at H ill Air Force Base.
He is survied by his wife Gloye; five sons and three daughters, W. Cra ig Nielson, Brigham City, Utah; Kermit T. Nielson, Blackfoot, Idaho; Desm ond Vance Nielson, Preston; Lance P. Nielson, Logan; Marta Shawn N. Owens , Corinth, Texas; Geri N. Golightly, Weston, Idaho; Lori N. Royalty, Cori nth, Texas; Peter L. Nielson, Aurora, Colo,; 52 grandchildren; 15 great-g randchildren and a sister, Veda Thompson, Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was prec eded in death by 5 brothers, Ralph, Gilbert, Elmer, Doward and William, a nd by two sisters, Ida and Hazel.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Monday, Oct 9, 2000, in the P aul, Idaho Cemetery with Bishop Peter L. Nielson conducting. Friends ma y call from 6-8 pm on Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston . Burial will be in the Paul, Idaho Cemetery.
